Art Tag - Solo

Art Tag Solo: I will upload a couple of images and each player downloads those images and then works at their own pace to create a image using all the pictures. Once they are done, they will resize the image to 72 dpi and 800 x 600 pixels or less and post their results. You will need to be able to FTP. Once the round starts I will PM you with the information.

This round starts 6 Jan 2005!

Anyone interested? Send me a PM!!!

~T

Yippee, it worked

Ok, third time is the charm, I hope. The first two times, I was not allowed to upload. (No, the file size was not too large). I don't really know what went wrong.

The entries before mine are imaginative and fun. Kudos folks.

I went with a bowling theme. I know the shadows are a bit off; but I'm through messing around for a time. Have to get back to the real world for a bit.

Enjoy,

Janet

Ron - Photo manipulation is your thing! I especially like the tent made out of pencils! Great work!

Jeff- Another creative entry! I like the undulating pencil fence and I especially like the zooming fly addition.

Janet – Love how you used the lighted path to lead to the castle and carried the theme through by lighting the giraffe from underneath.

KUDOS TO ALL THE PLAYERS!

I got a little colorful

I love it so far the lighted windows are straight up the middle on all images hehehe

I went more just fun and color...no great technique just layering, playing with color, hue, and streaching

love the bowling!!! and both the scenic views!!

Kissed Vixen - An extremely colorful entry, and I see that the lighted path continues to run up the middle. It's fun to see how many people are thinking alike.

Welles – I love the gallery idea! Very creative and well done from the pinwheel wallpaper to the reflective lights on the 15 ball. I also like the pencil sculpture. Wouldn’t that make a fun office piece. Excellent work!

Some excellent renditions. Mine would have been better but I had to go out and milk Daisy. Well, she was kinda dry...anyway..

Cheers

I don't agree. I like your surrealistic promenade (and the skill it took to put it together, too!).

I have to agree with Welles. The image forces your attention down the lane to the 15 ball. The building on the right is quite extraordinary. Definetly a worthwhile submission Roger!

I'm really proud to say that I like what everyone has come up with so far...except mine of course. (But then does anyone every really like their own? Giggle.) We all have to be a humorous bunch just come up with some of the zany tinterpretations. That in and of itself is worth a lot. Kudos to all.

Thanks, Duv and Welles! I liked what I did - just didn't feel that the idea was insirationally novel - but the idea came easily, when it comes easy maybe I just figure I missed thinking of something even better ....

Janet, I agree. The quality here is great, but it is the variety of ideas that keeps me going and feeling challenged.

Thanks all,
Roger

Duv – Quite the bizarre world you have created. I like the touch of placing the pinwheels on the giraffe’s head.

Misc. Tip – If you cut and paste an object and still have a halo or the object still stands out from the image, try using the blur tool. Select a small brush size and just run the blur tool around the hard edges to soften them and not make them so obvious. This is a quick way to help the new object blend in. You can also use the dodge or burn tool in the same way.

Roger – Lovely results and very well done! I love the perspective and the extra touch of adding motion to the pin wheels. I also like the pencil posts. Wouldn’t they make fun barriers for a children’s park or museum instead of the standard metal poles.

To all - Great job to all the players! Your creativity really shown in this round!

sorry this is late been out of town

Hello everyone.

Wow. What fun. Great imaginations. The lighted path does seem to be the center of inspiration. For me also.

This is my second round. Sorry this was late, just got back last week and had a lot of catch up to do.

Vicki – Nicely done! I like how you desaturated the image and only have selective coloring. I also like how you arranged the lighted paths leading to the brightly colored pinwheel in the center.

Leah – Very nice manipulation work. I like how you combined the pencils and pinwheels. Just imagine all those pinwheels blowing in the breeze…

Jill – Nice job combining all the images. I particularly like your pencil sculpture and how you placed the pinwheels on the construction wall.

Having seen the entries so far...

I'd like to say that everyone is doing a terrific job with this one. I am genuinely impressed with the creative vision and technical expertise here.

I had no idea so much could be done with a half-dozen such disperate elements. It's a real blast!

LOL....

Bizzare submission! I like the pencil waves.

It's so much fun to see all the different variations. You might have some regular old photos lying around and not realize the masterpieces you could create with them!
