Soft Light Layer Example

That makes sense. I thought I'd read someone (maybe you?) saying that in a thread, a long time ago...never tried it myself, though, although I do sometimes encounter the color shift issue. I'll have to give it a try!

what are you thinking the potential cost will be? $200? $400? $100?

Seb
I am aiming to get it out for the holidays.

Asiris
In addition to trying to make a holiday release, I also want to keep the cost of the dvd down.

Soft Light Layer Example

I use a bunch of color now and then to diminish color casts in small areas. Sometimes white or black just leaves a bit of residue that I don't care for.

If I get really ambitious I will show more than one way on some of the images.
Let yourself be ambitious to show more techniques and take your time to work on the DVD. We'll wait more if you need more time. Anyway it'll be great DVD course I think so it's worth to wait for it.

Cheers!

Chris, I'm curious as to why you used a bit of color on this layer, rather than just black or white. What additional value does that provide? (And I *love* seeing the layer, btw. I've got a bit of a "thing" for looking at soft light layers...I find them fascinating...and a great way to reveal where you're sloppier than you think, in your work. Or that's the case with me, anyway! )
