Lightroom 3 beta

If you haven't yet downloaded the new beta for LR 3, I recommend giving it a shot.
There has been a lot of rework under the hood
and runs a bit smoother than before. A lot of new features such as adding grain, a completely redesigned import that supports more formats, presets, and browser like capability.
Thumbnail scrolling is significantly faster.
Develop has added in much better sharpening, color noise reduction, a simplified local corrections panel and many more.
Output is significantly improved.
I could go on listing improvements and sound more and more like a used car salesman who has read a manual halfway, but I won't.
Here is a link to the public beta. Give it a shot.

This is good. Got the beta. Bhy the way, if you have contacts or something with Adobe, please tell them that the banner that says what's undone or redone in Lightroom is quite annoying because it distracts the attention or covers the place that is important to see the before and the after of certain change. The problem is when the banner is shown, if you move an slider or something the banner freezes there and it blocks the vision till you leave the slider, don't know if I'm explaining myself correctly. For example, paint something in LR and then undone and paint again before the banner is hidden, the banner will stay there. Also, doing multiple undos makes the banner stay there too much time than desired (which I would like that banner 100% turned off).
Tell that to the LR Team, please.

Also would be nice adding other types of gradients like in PS and adding a luminance option to contrast in order to avoid color saturation and some option that blocks overalping adjustments such the brush and gradient. Sometimes I add multiple subexposing gradients that subexposes each other and that's not useful.

Ah! And some radius adjustment for the recover and fill lightlike Aperture does.
Sorry for this multiple things, but LR needs these additions and I just remembered these ones.Posted 10-22-2009 at 03:13 PM by Quantum3
