Why should I want a blog?

Some random thoughts for those wondering how a blog is "better" than the forums:
- The forums are more insular. Think of the forums as an intercom system. Blogs are your megaphone blasting out at the rest of the world.
- You can categorize. Have multiple interests? Make a category for each. That way if someone is interested in cats but not so much woodworking, they can still follow without being bothered by uninteresting topics.
- Forums are about "discussions" and "community". Blogs are about "you".
