ok, when you 'post to my blog', does it append to your last 'post to my blog' or start something over. let's find out.
Total Comments 7

| | ok, i get it. so each 'post to my blog' is a new thread. the forum name is 'Kraellin' or whatever your user name is. comments are extra, added posts to the 'thread'. but the comments dont seem to have an 'advanced' option, so others posting to your blog dont seem to be able to post images to your 'threads'. oh wait, maybe they do... |

| | ok, looks like you can post images to other's blogs through the 'advanced' option. cool ok, something i dont understand... in the blog control panel there is a 'spam' section. in there is something labeled an akismet key. what the heck is that? |

| | Posting images to other blogs is a mod thing, I think. Regular users shouldn't be able to do that. Are you referring to the akismet key? That's an antispam thing. Just a tip: you might want to stop thinking about "threads" in terms of blogs, different paradigm. Blogs are more time based. |

| | yes, i wondered about some of this being moderator only. ok. yeah, but what's it do, the akismet thing? is that something that would disable unregistered from posting or just keep folks from multiple, duplicate postings or what? yeah, i'm just trying to get oriented and understand how this works. helps a bit to compare it to the forums. it's certainly not the same thing, though. do i have to edit the main post to append other things besides comments? that's the first difference i see between this and threads. or does it just expect that every time i want to say something new to start a new 'post to my blog' entry? |

| | akismet checks for keywords common in spam and won't let comments through that have the keywords. A blunt instrument, and not really intended for blogs set up this way. You can see a more populated version of the blog software here. |

| | ah, ok. seems that this is more like a journal than a forum. there is no real way to append to the original entry except through comments or going back and editing the original. that's going to take some getting used to. then again, each new original is appended to you, your user name, so i suppose that's a difference from the forums also. ok, starting to get the hang of this. |
