PS& brush names / Edit>Fade command

Posted 07-10-2009 at 05:19 AM by Nasturtium

I guess this is the danger of being self taught. I just realized that PS brushes have NAMES! That sure makes painting with them easier than just using the thumbnails. lol

Also the Edit>Fade command seems to work on all filters...including Plug-Ins! ^5 :-) This is really cool. Especially with the Medhi kaleidoscope filter. Attached is a foxglove picture manipulated in such a way.

The edit > fade command works on brush strokes as well ( well the last brush stroke made) and of course you can fade with the blendmodes as well in the fade mode , that can be useful too

Wow... The effects you can achieve with PS is mind blowing. I've been using PS for my business check designs for years and I still haven't figured out all the components.

Fade works for the fill commands also. And the undo.

You know, I don't think you ever learn Photoshop. I think the way to do it is to choose a little corner and just explore the heck out of it.

wow just done a double take on what Chris has wrote you can fade a undo ? must investigate that one, oh no thats the ironing gone by the board again

Nasturtium I have often wondered if the creators of photoshop know how to use ps to the max ?

I like to do video tuts every now and again as i learn things that way, it may not be anything new to me but there may be a new shortcut or a way of doing things i hadnt considered etc. and then promptly a month on forget all about it and start learning all over again

You can fade "undo"!!!??? How cool is that!?

I think the makers of PS may be surprised how it IS used sometimes. lol. Yes, I'm learning new easier ways to do old the alt+cancel in curves & levels will revert to default. Very handy to know.
