Fake smudge
Here is a action i made from Joeven's workflow for this technique which can be found in this thread

please remember all that i did was make it into a action
joe done all the hard work
Joe has pointed out to me that after both times of the diffuse being used you should reduce the opacity to exactly 50% ( i have altered the wording in the action to accomodate this)
After some experimenting i have found on portraits that it is best to use something like neat image first then run the action

Neat image is software for removing noise ( there is a free version as well )

It is a good bit of software ( especially as it is free) and probably has more capabilities than i have ever used it for
