Neat image helped me on thins one, but most of it is sharpening with high pass (masking, of course) color corrections with selective color (And some bluring of the dark areas) I also did ome difuse glow, bluring the entire image in another layer at really low opacity, and then brough back the details masking....

I don't remember as a lot of work went into this (A lot of experimenting also)

The background has 5 layers on its own

Sorry I can give you any more especifics.

LOL at this thread....

If you want to get hired, why leave so many problems in the images? Seriously. It's a tiny file even.

Hello, how do you want end files in RGB or CMYK? It is important for me to know. Because is better if I do not convert with some mine profiles!

If that's how you feel, then please don't waste your time or mine. The images is bad, I ill admit that, but it also leaves it up to you all to show me exactly what you can do as far each of you talents are concerned.

I've better things to do http://www.davidyurman.com/catalogs/cablecandy.aspx

In addition, why put my work up for review here of all places? Forgive the analogy, but it would be like having asking a bunch of 15 year olds for a driving review of a Porshe.

Your retouching is very nicely done but I'm confused as to why you're spending time trolling this forum if you're so busy?

Re: Seeking Jewlery Retouching Also

you haven't seen my retouching most likely. (Years back I worked at a boutique that did the still lifes for David Yurman and a few years ago was freelancing at a place that did the beauty portion for them.

I'm not sure why I keep coming back. It's amusing sometimes and it's my business to keep abreast of what's going on in the world of retouching (on the off chance that something pertinent might find it's way here. I was initially mislead by the url of this website (the pro part) and just can't stay away. I'm more than likely just drawn to forums in general.

I don't troll. I don't make posts purely to incite fervor amongst the natives. This is a field I am very involved in and have made my living from for many years so I am particularly critical and very against misinformation. Some want to be retouchers, others doodle.

I just don't see the point of, if someone really wanted this work, not being hyper critical of what one presents to this potential client (any client). This is a biz of perfection and what has been shown is far far from it. There is a great deal of Paula Abdul patting on the back and congratulating of poor work here. It doesn't help anyone.
