Picturehouse, a high-end retouching studio based in Manhattan, is looking for an experienced senior retoucher.

Together with its analogue counterpart, The Small Dark Room, one of the last few standing custom photo labs in NYC, Picturehouse services the international fashion, advertising and fine art industries. (For references and list of clients, please visit picturehousenyc.com)

Applicants must have:

• a minimum of 5 years of experience working on high level fashion and beauty photography

• ability to complete jobs from start to finish, including file processing, retouching and color correction.

• high end skills for composites and masking

• solid technical knowledge of color, color spaces, and ability to navigate between RGB and CMYK with ease.

• highly developed and sophisticated photographic color sensibility and color matching skills

• intimate knowledge of both digital and conventional photography workflows from the click of the shutter to print

• ability to work with and lead a team of retouchers, manage and oversee job progress

• ability to function in a high pressure, deadline-laden environment

• photography background and foreign language(s) a plus...

• the inexperienced, intermediate level retouchers and Photoshop tipsters&tricksters need not apply.
