Portrait Retouch Challenge

For this month’s challenge you are to download the photo and create a glamour portrait. Note: This is not a Photo Art challenge; the image must be kept as a photo.

THE PRIZE for this month’s contest is a copy of Image Doctor by Alien Skin

Some things to think about: Take some time to evaluate the photo…what needs to be done? How are the skin tones, are there any color casts? Does the background detract from the photo? Are there any hot spots, wispy hairs, red eye, blemishes and so on?

THE RULES:

1. You must VOTE for the top 5 entries. Participants that do not submit their top 5 will be disqualified.

2. Contest will run from 1 July to 24 July 2005. Deadline for entries is 5pm EDT 24 July 2005.

3. This is not a Photo Art challenge. Keep the image as a photo.

4. When you submit your entry put your username in the filename (ie: tpaul.jpg). This is so users can save the images to a local directory and remember who did what--important when it comes time to vote.

5. Your final image size should be as close to 800 px on the long side and 600 px on the short side as possible. Also remember that the file cannot be larger than 100KB.

6. Post your entries to this thread. Please restrict your comments, questions or discussion to the July 05 Contest Discussion thread. Inappropriately placed posts will be deleted.

7. Only one entry per person.

8. Voting will run from 25 June to 31 July 2005. Only those with entries may vote. You will vote for the 5 best entries in order. Post your votes in the following thread (July 05 Contest Votes). Note you cannot vote for your own image.

Finally, please let others know about this contest. We can only offer future prizes with continued interest, and please don’t forget to post your entry/comment/vote to the correct thread--there will be three!! Posts made to the incorrect thread will be deleted.

I had a major problem with my net service. Hope i still qualify, i'd withdrawn the earlier image to make a minor change, and it took me quite a while to replace it.
