hmmm, so now i'm blind? in that case, it IS a pancake, folded and left by the photographer on purpose for the baby to rest his head against.

My grandma would say that to me when I would complain I didn't know all the cards were gone in one suit or something while we were playing. Funny how you remember stuff like that years later. lol

I think I agree with you Loverly, if you are referring to the area just below the ear. No neck would be visible there. But very clearly there is a bit of shoulder showing between Regan's cheek and jumper, as highlighted in red. I think this has been removed in a few entries.

Kurt,
The arm is lower than the ruffle and no way would the shoulder be showing. That is the fur on the wall.

Regan's right side of neck

I rescanned the original without correction to show Regan's right side of her neck and shoulder.

I didn't think a shoulder was showing either. However, the way the dress is positioned isn't quite natural either. That's one of the items I struggled with in this restore. Loverly is correct with the way the arms align. But, now, after looking at Phil's new photo zeroed in on the neck, I am detecting a slight outline of a more enlongated neck and slight bit of shoulder.

The only thing I'm quite sure of is that it's not a pancake.

Lorraine,
Yes, there is a VERY slight shoulder but nothing like some of the entries are showing where it practically goes up to the ear. As far as the way the dress is positioned babies clothes always ride up like that above their shoulders.
