| | | Re: Mar 07 Contest Discussion At the risk of making myself sound stupid—but I'm having trouble saving my files down enough in order to meet the 100kb 800x600 entry size. 800x600 has been done, but the lowest I've got my file down to is 72dpi saved as a jpeg at '5' quality which comes out at 192kb.
Can anyone give me any clues on how I can save down further. Save for web maybe?
cheers,
N. |

| | | Re: Mar 07 Contest Discussion You will have to keep raising the compression number until you get at 100kb or lower... I keep adjusting the compression and saving until it arrives at the proper size. The quality may not be what you desire, but we all have to live with that...

"Save for web" is the way to go -- click the link in my signature -- it will lead you to instructions if you have any more problems. |

| | | Re: Mar 07 Contest Discussion Just posted my entry for this month. I hope to still get a chance to tweak it a bit as I'm not completely happy with it, but I do just want to warn you that we might not make 100% voting again this month and if we don't, it may well be because I might not be able to log on as I'll likely be giving birth at or around voting time. Baby #2 is due March 20th. |

I see that you have been having trouble saving your image, but don't forget that your: Quote: |
Final image must be exactly 800 px wide and 600 px high.
| Otherwise your image will be disqualified. Right now your image does not meet this requirement. If you still need help please ask. Problem has been corrected.

Looking at the submissions, I'm trying to figure a way out of voting. They're all so good.
