hi i just want to give a tip to other entrants.

i noticed that all entries didnt get rid of the blue part behind the glass.

How to fix blue on glass
go to the red channel
copy the red channel onto the layers channel
then change mix to "Darken"

How to fix blue parts on bike body
lasso the parts that are blue
go to the green channel (make sure you have the colored image selected)
copy the lasso selection of the green channel
paste into the blue channel
(doesnt work on the blue part on the tank because green channel is different to)

dataflow, im new with the channel thing how do u copy a channel to the layers channel?

just go to the channel tab.
click on the color channel you want
then select "all"
then copy
then go to the layers tab and paste

I don't really know much about these new high-powered crotch-rockets, but something in this image struck me as odd. Perhaps one of you, more knowledgeable of such things, could tell me what that thing on the front wheel is. I noticed a couple of entries had removed it. It surely doesn't look like it belongs there to me.

this is just a guess because i know nothing about motorbikes.

but it could be for break fluid

It appears to be a lock. This is commonly used in this location to avoid/deter theft. It is often seen with a leash of sorts attached on or near the handlebar and brightly colored in order to remind the owner that he needs to undo the lock or risk serious rotor damage.

Bingo, Ant. I was thinking along that line since it seemed that the wheel couldn't turn with that thing attached to the brake disk. At any rate, it's an eyesore and would not likely be in an ad for the bike. I'm off to modify my entry...

May be Ziaphra and LonK will tell us something about the secret of making reflections, I'm interested too

I don't really know of any particular "secret" for fabricating convincing faux reflections. I do think it's imperative to have a good grasp of at least the basic physics and mathematics of reflections (ray tracing). In most cases there is much more to it than merely cutout, copy, flip and fit.

To learn how to visualize reflections, it is most helpful simply to grab a chunk of mirror (or other reflective surfaces) and really observe the actual reflections of various objects.

I would note however, that the reflection of a 3D object can be actually quite different than the view of the object itself due to the intrinsically different "point of view" of the reflection. The best one can do is manipulate a faked reflection to minimize (or disguise) these differences. Indeed, as in the case of 3D objects with obvious extreme depth, the differing POVs (angle of incidence) make it very difficult to virtually impossible to fabricate a convincing faux reflection from a singular view. In such cases, I believe it's best to avoid rather than produce an image that is visually incomprehensible or confusing.

thanx for all comments in the vote section about my picture, I felt good when read it, and I accept all judgement, but there is an interesting idea of Gezzunder: "being too graphic in nature" what I'd like to discuss -I'm not against the opinion- but I had a thought when I was watching the pictures some days ago: as a standalone picture my one seemed mutch graphic than picture to me too, but when I watched it among the other entries it was really realistic.

what is Ur opinion?
