The job brief clearly called for the subject to be painted to resemble a carousel horse. However, while some intriguing work was done, half of the entries strayed by decorating (and mounting) the horse rather than actually painting it, a distinct difference, IMO.

I also was looking for Joeven effort which i thought was superb. Ruzzez reminded me of the painted cows that was famous for my home town a couple of years ago. I agree mine included also should have had the carousel pole, i did try to do that, but it looked distorted. So like others, ours being before the pole is added, still all are very good works of art. Well done everyone.

Everyone removed the horse, put on white at the right size and had a shadow. None of the entries made the horse, as large as possible. The final judgment was on the,
Paint horse to resemble a carousel horse, but keep horse realistic looking (DO NOT make the horse look like a sculpture).
