I basically looked for the most realistic colorization and then compared hair/eyes color.
One entry would have made the top 5, but the pixel dimension was wrong.
EVERYONE did a fantastic job!

rimjhim loved yours but I think it looks more like a painting then a photo.

1.Lorraine – Lovely porcelain skin tones and my very favorite hat! I thought you had the perfect amount of balance between lights and darks - not overly contrasted. Good saturation balance. Lip color very natural.
2.Cupcake – Beautiful skin tones that matched the hair color. My favorite hair – lovely color, curly without being frizzy, and you caught all the wisps at the edges beautifully! Eyes had depth and looked very natural
3.Ruzzez – I thought the shading on the skin conformed most closely with the original. Shading in hair added a nice dimension. I loved the subtle lavender and blue reflections that you added to the shading in the clothes. Really nice!
4.Kraelin – Beautiful skin color! I thought the lips were a little too red to look natural, which brought it down in my vote. Lovely wispy hair edges. Beautiful fabric and you captured the cutwork around the neckline so well! Lovely sheer scarf.
5.Bigdawgz1 – Lovely hair – thought you caught that wisp of hair on the left better than anyone else.

The instructions said to add comments, but maybe I overdid. If so -- sorry!
When I started analyzing the different points of each colorization, I started rearranging my favorites. There were many outstanding entries!

Rimjhim - Yours was my absolute favorite. Beautiful in every way, except that it was more photo art than straight colorization.

1st:Ratpat13 - For the difference in handling the fabrics (scarf and dress) and the overall balance.
2nd:Lorraine - balance between softness and crispness.
3rd:cupcake - well balanced, realistic softness.

Rimjhim this picture is amazing, although I think it falls outside the rules of “Minor photo retouching is permitted to improve imperfections”

Thanks to everyone who liked my work. I knew that I had overdone retouching on my image but anyway I wanted my image to standout because I usually don't get comments from senior members. I will send a new untouched colorization when I get back. Please do leave your comments this time to make my work better.

I think every entry does each artist proud. Congratulations, especially to the 1st timers.
To pick my choices I needed to go through the rules very carefully, and not to use just pixel count as a gauge. She was to have, "Golden brown hair with a hint of auburn in the highlights and warm brown eyes". . My choices reflect my interpretation of those rules...
