Fenix has joined in converting the friendly pumpkin patch into creepy Jack-o-lanterns. I definitely wouldn't want to walk through that pumpkin patch at night...probably not in the daytime either.

Hello my friends.

Since Halloween is my favorite "holiday", I couldn't resist participating in this imaginative contest. It's wonderful to see so many familiar names (and a few new ones) exercising their outstanding photo manipulation skills. And I must say, the eerie results I see are nothing short of marvelous.

I certainly enjoyed composing my entry - maintaining the essence of the original scene, while adding elements, details and lighting enhancements to satisfy my understanding of the provided brief. I sought spooky, yet lighthearted. Was I successful?

Halloween is Not my favorite holiday, but you guys did a great job of making it spooky in an attractive way.

and thank you Lonk for pointing out the lighting, It is a big fault i have to not check it, now i can see how wrong it is, I must take more care but i just get excited and engrossed i forget

Joeven- I like how everything is smooth.. almost like a painting. You did a very convincing job with converting day to night. The lightning gave it a nice touch. The grave seems a little off in perspective, but otherwise a great entry.

fenix- I really like the vintage look and the perfect mix of fog to give it that old "hollywood horror movie" feel

Cupcake- I like the spiderwebs and the glowing image on the pumpkin. The lighting makes it a lttle hard to make out some of the details, but i guess your not suppose to see everything in the night.

Veralisa- I really like the how you done the night sky. The bugs were a nice touch, but the large ones were a little distracting from the rest of the image, but that is only my opinion.

CathyH- I like the Jack o' lantern, and the witch, reminds me of a halloween greeting card

Palms- I really like the witch, and the red in the sky, i also like how the forground, being bright and colorful, contrasts with the the dark background.. gives it a surreal feel

Lonk- I love everything about yours, the cracked pumpkins, and very realistic carved ones, i love how you done the lighting to make everything seem realistic. The skeletons are flawless, and i love how the ghost seems to rise out of the pumpkin patch. Excellent entry.

gimini_1- Very realistic jack o'lantern. I like how the black makes the orange in the pumpkins stand out. I really like your choice to use a raven. I'm a Edgar Allen Poe fan. Great Entry
