Re: Feb/Mar 2012 Contest Discussion

Hi there, total newcomer to the forum here. I offer my photoshop services on various freelance sites, and I've joined here to extend my knowledge of the whole photo enhancement world, (some brilliant tips already picked up). I really enjoy entering contests like this on forums, and I am putting together an entry. question is - would I be able to use the reworked image in my online portfolio? I would have no problem adding suitable credits to the image.

I'm glad you are getting a lot out of RetouchPro. It is a great place to hang out while learning and sharing with others.

The short answer your question about using this photo for your online portfolio is no, not this particular photo. The subject has requested that it not be shared other than on this site. I would like to respect her wishes and remain someone she trusts. I'm sure there are other photos on here that would suit your needs. Thank you for your understanding.

Janet

That's absolutely fine, Janet. Still working on my entry and will post soon. I hope I do justice to this model's beauty.

lidicce, it is the correct size now. But it seems kind of blurry. I think you have done a good job with this contest.

Re: Feb/Mar 2012 Contest Discussion

I noticed that some of the entries are not within the contest guide lines, so double check your entries so you are not disqualified.

" * Final image must be exactly 800 pixels high by 600 pixels wide (portrait format); cropping to get the required dimensions is permitted.
* When you submit your entry put your username in the filename (ie: tpaul.jpg)"

Re: Feb/Mar 2012 Contest Discussion

Hi! Just posted my entry. I have a before/after image, as well as a fake cover "Retouch PRO Beauty Magazine" at my swedish site here:

http://bildretusch.se/retuschtavling...a-retouch-pro/

PS. If you are not aware of it, use jpeg mini for these contests. Amazing jpeg shrinking without obvious loss of quality.

Best, Jan
