Hello guys,
I've just joined the site as I love restoring and manipulating old photos. I've just had a go at restoration challenge #66 I did this total restoration on my note 3 phone using the ps touch app. I was recently caught up in the whole note 7 exploding issues so now I'm back to this old thing. What I would really love is a fairly powerful professional graphics tablet but I just don't know which one to choose. I love the note stylus and wouldn't settle for anything less. I'm new at this and was wondering what you guys consider the best tools for the job?

Hey man, Retouching on a phone... not really my thing. I do it professionally for a huge fashion company, a Mac pro + Wacom. BUT, in your case; some one that wants to casually retouch a picture, i suggest the Microsoft Surface. It has a stylus with pen pressure and its made by Wacom. That would be my choice for casual retouching. I personally work with files that come close to 12 ~14 GB. So retouching on a tablet is not really an option for me but i love the idea of it.

Oh, And i tested a Wacom Cintiq out for work. But i didnt like it for indept retouching. The problem is when you Dodge and Burn... your pen tip is always over the area you are dodging and burning on, especially if you dodge and burn with a small brush size. And i do that a lot. Keep that in mind if you invest in something expensive for long term.
