| | | March 05 Contest Entries It’s time to challenge your skills and show everyone what you can do. RetouchPro is hosting a Contest…yes CONTEST, and this time there will be a time limit and a PRIZE! General Rules:1. Contest will run from 1 March to 23 March 2005. Deadline for entries is 5pm EST 23 March 2005.
2. All contestants will work from the same photo. Download the photo from the following link:http://hdl.loc.gov/loc.pnp/cph.3b27507 Click on the image to go to the download page. The challenge is to cleanup and colorize this black & white image. Make sure to download the 1.5MB TIF version of the image.
3. Post your entries to this thread. Please restrict your comments, questions or discussion to the March 05 Contest Discussion thread. Inappropriately placed posts will be deleted.
4. File Format: JPEG (.jpg)
5. File Size: No larger than 100 KB
6. Discussion of the entries can be made in the following thread (March 05 Contest Discussion).
7. Only one entry per person.
8. Voting will run from 24 March to 31 March. Only those with entries may vote. You will vote for the 5 best entries in order. Post your votes in the following thread (March 05 Contest Votes). Note you cannot vote for your own image. Prize
The winner will get a free 1-year subscription to the Photoshop Fix monthly newsletter (a $59 value). American and Canada winner will get the paper version in the mail, if the winner is from another country they'll receive an electronic subscription. http://www.photoshopfix.com Images:
Do you have an image that would be perfect for a future contest? Post them in the Contest Images Thread. Final note, we can only offer future prizes if lots of people enter, so invite everyone you know that might be interested. | | Got some real competitors here. Looks like the voting will be difficult.
Here's my humble entry.
I forgot to mention, this represents about 6-8 hours of work and another 6-8 hours of just staring at it.  Remember -- vote for Pedro.
