family photo

Hi all, I've been working on trying to fix an another old family photo and this is what where I'm at so far.

The older boy on the far right had a nasty crack running through the mouth area and I had to "steal" the teeth from the girl since their appearances were the closest to get the best result that I could.

Any other suggestions would be very welcome.

EDIT: sorry, forgot to add that I used Photoshop's "healing brush" and "clone stamp" tools, I also adjusted the levels a bit and ran the image through Neat Image's default settings.

I've been "playing" with photoshop for about 8 years, but I don't really consider myself very advanced as I've never done this kind of thing with it until recently.

Well I think you did an excellent job. I sharpened the photo slightly which may help. It will be to the left of your retouch. Also the center child's left ear needs a dab of fix up.

Thanks Philbach

Concerning the middle boy's ear. I think what we're seeing is part of the dress pattern behind him.

I cleaned that bit up to see how it looks:

I must say, you did a wonderful job. I did notice the bottom two boys eyes are a tab to dark. Maybe if you can lighten them up a bit, then it would be perfect. Other than that you have done a superb job.

Regards,

AG...

Hi Succiu,
It would be a good idea to add shadows just below the lower lip of the boy from the far right. Compare it with his siblings. His chin looked swollen. Also make the teeth darker. There's also the crease on the jumper of the middle boy.
You're doing great. Keep it up!
