| Welcome aboard R! Generally nice work, there are a few issues. The one that stands out for me is the skin tones are somewhat flat. Maybe think about contours and contrast a little bit. Hopefully Vikki will weight in with some good sage. Cheers Dave |

| Nice enough, but as Dave says a bit flat. Also some colour issues, one or two have a distinct blue tinge, and some have been a little over blurred in areas, losing skin texture. Could do with some variety in your work. If you plan on working in "beauty" touch ups there's a lot of very good competition, look up some of these, and see what they're doing, could give you some ideas. |

| Thanks Duv and Gary...appreciate the critiques...helps alot...my short term goal is to be competent enough to do portrait retouching and then slowly progress to beauty/fashion/glamour stuff...i really enjoy retouching and i plan to learn and practice all i can....and thank goodness for this website...and all the people here who are kind enough to share their knowledge and experiences with us newbies...thanks! |

| Welcome R! Nice improvement from the first post. I like what you're doing with the second pic the best. The eyes are looking good, and the skin texture is much better than in the 3rd pic, which is still over blurred as Gary points out. If you're looking at glamourizing this shot, have you considered enhancing the eye lashes and brows? - Kurt |

| hi kurt, thanks for the suggestions, i have been studying and trying to improve my retouching...i think my problem is i am impatient...i am trying to take more time with the photos i am retouching now and trying different techniques and methods that i have read here at Retouchpro...i have posted two photos i have just finished working on at: http://www.geocities.com/pixulz/portraits.html the last one is my first try at "glamourizing." any suggestions of how to improve the photos would be much appreciated. thanks! -Ramel- |
