Motorcycle graphic

I took a pic of a coworkers motorcycle and fixed it up as a poster...
Would like some constructive critique.
Anything to make it look better or is it good to go the way it is?
Appreciate all comments...
Jeff

Thumbs down Nice bike ! :)

First of all, welcome to the RP forums. Your rendering looks (IMHO) very professional and the effects are very good.

Congratulations Jeff !

Really nice work Jeff.

Ultra fine nitpicking mode. Rear tyre is touching its reflection, front tyre isn't quite.

Otherwise excellent.

hi jeff,

very nice work.

i've got one thing i'm not real keen on here. i like the bike. i like the gradient. i like the large background letters and how they're done. i like the reflection and i like that you offset the bike's position in the picture. but, i'm not real keen on the 'Own the Track' effect. one, the phrase shld have an exclamation point at the end. and the other is, the motion effect on those words seems a bit off. it sort of conveys it, but not as well as it could, i think. mind you, i'm not sure i could do it any better, but it just doesnt quite look right to me.

if, perhaps, you could find an already italicized font, and then italicize it more, that might help. it would give more of a 'leaning forward' effect. i also believe the lettering shld be moved to the right more, to balance the offset of the bike. also the motion lines on the phrase seem off to me. if the phrase were moving from left to right, the trailing motion lines wouldnt have an expanding angle to them. they would just be straight. i'm including an image to show what i mean. it's not the best, but it says what i'm trying to convey here.

then again, maybe motion wasnt what you were after, so, ok.

you could also do an effect on that phrase to show like a wind tunnel effect, with the 'air' blowing over the lettering.

anyways, it's a great looking picture. hope your friend appreciates it.

Craig

I hardly ever comment on work of this sort,as I have no expertise in this area at all. However,my untrained eye says it is an excellent piece of work. I think you have a gift for this! Please have a great day! Neb

Wow! Very impressive. I love the colours and the graphics, motion, the light on the bike and the bike itself. I have a lot of bikers in my family and they would love to get their hands on that baby.

I will be ultra nitpicky as well and this one is purely subjective: I like the way the bike is offset to the left but I think the amount of space in front of it could be more. I love the "GSX-R" going off the page on both sides so if you can keep that that would be great. But it's just the amount of space from the front tire to the right edge of the page.

That said, if I could produce art like that, I probably wouldn't be doing what I'm doing now.

Thanks guys,
Just delivered my first two posters to my first customer today.
He's in a Mustang club, I did two different posters of his 2005 Roush Mustang.
He will display them in front of his car at the many car shows he attends.
He loves 'em.
I appreciate all the comments and the confidence they gave me to put myself out there and try to sell this stuff.
Have a great day, you all...
Jeff

Thumbs down

Very nice job, only thing i see is maybe some "halos" forming on the back tire.

also on the bottom right side of the back tire, the yellow cast. I know it's coming from a nat. highlight, but you might want to clean it up to take away from the silo.

Jeff,

This outstanding!! If you could share in some small way the process that you went through to get this accomplished it would be great. Your website has the mustang poster that is outstanding. My son-in-law has a 2005 V8 convertible and a 1965 that I would like to do something like this with the two cars. Any suggestions or pointers would be appreciated. This is my first post and I am glad to be a part of a forum with such a great attitude and helpful people.

Thanks
