| | | May I have your comments on this one This was one of my first attempts at manipulating / restoring a photo
I attempted this some months ago, but I still thing it's quite good
The couple are my nan & grandad, a picture of them on the bench together never existed.
Your comments, tips etc are welcomed |

| | | Hi Bearinbrum
I like it!
The only three points I would make are:
1) The cropping of the picture has taken a bit too much off of the lower edge, and I feel a bit more of their legs would look nicer. Difficult I know, because moving your nan over means her legs start to disappear off the bottom edge.
2) There needs to be a bit of shadow behind your nans left arm. In the original, there is quite a lot on the back of the bench, but none on the new picture.
3) This is a bit of a personal preference, but I would think it would look good if you could subtly change the angle of your grandads arm, and have him resting his hand on nans shoulder. His arm looks long enough for this, and it would be a nice touch. A lot of work on angles to get it looking correct but it may work.
You are very lucky to have two almost identical images to make a new one from.
Heres a very (very) rough try without any cleanup (or subtlety)

| | | I really like Glen's idea. I'm sure with Bearinbrum's skills something believable could be done including proper shadowing.
BTW did Gran know he was out with her purse?
Cheers

| | | Thanks for your comments and suggestions I will have a play at that, tho the only reason I didnt do it was because when I overlaid my nan, she covered my grandads arm up - so I just thought that leaving it out was the more realistic option. Though I do see that there is a new challange there for me to conquer! |

| | | Excellent piece of work. One very minor suggestion. Your Gran's face could do with sharpening very slightly to make it match that of your Grandfather, there's a very slight difference between the two which does not quite look right. |
