Collage or montage for my mother

This is the first I have done. I think I may have reached the limit of my skills. I'm happy with the result other than my oldest brother on top. There is just something about his placement that bothers me. This will be a x-mas gift to our mother. If any one has any comments, suggestions on how to improve the blending of the back ground into foreground feel please free to. I use a combination of layer mask and gradient tool. I would also like to have this critiqued. Here is a link to the request for help in made click here.

Thank you

Here's a different sort that I whipped up with several pictures of my daughter that are a wee bit more close in. If you want to do one like that, I can help you.

Yours is lovely and I'm certain your mum will love it!

Collage

Nice job with the collage. The only distraction is that the faces of the adults are too magenta and they really stand out. Here is a quick simple fix - you don't even need to select them, if you have Photoshop. Just open the image and Image>Adjust>Selective Color. Leave the default color as Red and just move the Magenta slider to the left. The only other thing affected int he image will be the boys' faces which will also loose a little red. However if you don't want them to be affected then just use the Rectangular Marquee to select a large area encompassing the men only and then perform the Selective Color adjustment. Best Rgds, MM

Thanks for your opinions. Mistermonday you are right about the faces being red. I adjusted the magenta and they look a whole lot better.

Hi APW..
I like your collage very much. If I may I would like to make a suggestion..I was wondering how it would look to put each boys pictures that you now have grouped ...across from each adult picture in the water . Does that make sense. Neb

Rolling down the rapids

I sort of made them look like their heads were floating downstream and I put a bluish tint on them. Just a different approach.

Neb I like your idea. I thought of doing it that way. I think I will give it a quick go to see how it looks.

Phil I like your sense of humor.

Thank you both for your ideas.

Andy
