What would you do? (composite image)

This was a project given to me by a friend just for fun. She wanted to know what could be done. HA! What can’t be done, right? That’s really what my problem is. Lots of possibilities. So this one is just a prototype because I’m not all that sure where I want to take this one. It’s basically the digital equivalent of a rough sketch. I just touched up the original and fixed up her gown a bit. Then I threw a couple of things in together and applied a couple quick effects:

Diffuse glow
2 photo filters
A soft focus vignette
Lens flare

I’ll upload the source pix as well. BTW,The stuff I used in the background is from http://www.sxc.hu/ really good pics and really friendly folks.

So this is what I am hoping someone could help me with: What would you do? Do you think I’m headed in the right direction? If this is a decent idea, what can I do to the picture to make it more believable or more appealing?

hi jimmy,

and welcome to RP.

just one quick comment, cause i'm about to head out. i think your crop could be just a bit tighter. there's a lot of black, dead space at the top and a bit much at the sides as well.

a good concept overall, however.

I agree with the comment about the crop.

Also, the light coming through her vail is way to brite. I cannot hardly see her face because of the glare. Most folks will look first at the brightest area of a photo. So what do you want them to look at first?
