Just got my first digital camera...

Its not an SLR like I wanted. Just couldnt go out of my usual budget to get it. But I did settle for a compact. Im just a novice, but Im able to learn photography techniques by using this camera though. I can still adjust the aperture and shutter speed just like those big boy cams. Im gonna post some samples here to show you the quality of what Ive been workin with. So please give feedback on any of the pictures as far as technique is concerned. Im tryin to learn to be like some of yall big dogs here. =)

You're off to a running start. Some very nice images. You have a good eye for composition. :-)

I agree with Swampy. You have a good eye for composition. There is one thing, however, and it is not your fault. Digital cameras sometimes skew the color in flower pics and such to blue. My point and shoot does it; and it seems yours does as well. The pictures can benefit from a bit of levels/curves adjustment. I took the liberty to change the blue saturation on one picture to illustrate. I hope you don't mind.

Keep up the good work. Picture taking is great fun!!!

Janet

Wow!! thanx everyone!!! So how did you know I had a panasonic fz5?!?!? Is the metadata embeded in the picture properties somewhere? And yes I do love my panasonic. And Good point Janet, Ill take that into account, but, the flower in real life is rather blue. But thanx for the feedback and I will be posting up more soon, so stay tuned folks!!
