| Apart from Craig's comments, you haven't really waited very long either, we have members all over the world and some of them won't have even seen your post yet. |

But this site can't be expected to answer why you have not had any critiques at Deviant. Maybe you should post the same question there??? |

| | | Feedback That's what I want... I don't know... maybe this aren't as good as I though and that's why they didn't get any comments on Deviant.
So I posted them here... to hear your thoughts |

i do like these, as i said. i might not hang them in my livingroom, but i do like them i like the exaggerations in the 'disgusted' one best.
the only real problem i have with either of them is, they dont do much. they are sort of static. i dont mean your work on them here; the work is good. but the overall image just doesnt really hit me with anything. yes, it's cartoonish. yes, it's done well. but it just sort of leaves me with 'ok, she knows how to use warp and similar tools' but the image itself doesnt really impact me that much. that make sense? maybe in a different context or maybe as part of an image set...i dont know. it's like it's missing the rest of the panels in the cartoon. it's not completely that way; the expressions do speak, but just not quite enough by themselves.

Firstly I for one have no idea why you did'nt get any resposes at DeviantArt, that's something you'll have to ask them about. There can be a whole number of reasons posts get overlooked or not responded to, but don't take it personally, its not a personal slur against your work.
Of the 2 pictures I prefer the "Mischievous" one as it more captures the essence of that emotion. The "Disgusted" one I'm afraid just doesn't do it for me, and fails to find the expressions I'd associate with disgust, its altogether too OTT (over the top). |
