Greatest problem is that this is the original size of the photo... I'm somewhat happy with the result...althought now I see that the volume of the jaw is lost. Anyways, my biggest problem is that there are some yellow spots around the nose and mouth (on the lighter side of the face) that I don't know how to get rid off

Re: Portrait retouch needs critiques Overall, a really nice job. I particularly liked what you did with the left eyebrow. But one thing stand out slightly to me. One is the shadow directly on the jawline. It seems to end a little abruptly, and the shadow is darker than in the original picture It just stands out a little too much on the face in my opinion. One more thing. I'm not sure if the jacket needed to be brightened up. The hat remained the same, and looks good like that in the second photo, while brightening the jacket adds detail to the picture that could be distracting from the model. Maybe.... Again, really nice job. The picture is greatly improved!

Re: Portrait retouch needs critiques Ok... this is what I mean... if it is a contest, may be you need more drastic changes.

Re: Portrait retouch needs critiques Godmother, it's a job contest Some photographer is looking for a retoucher to work with. But he didn't give any specific guidelines, just "fashion retouch" and I'm not sure how severe alterations he would approve :/

Re: Portrait retouch needs critiques i'm not going to critique the image but offer this instead, if the photographer gave no guidelines, i'd submit several styles and renditions so he can see your gamut of work.
