new to retouching

i'm new at this, but how did i do?
i know that it could be better, but gotta start somewhere, right?

quack, welcome to RP.

i'll just mention two points here. one, the skin looks a bit too smooth... no pores or texture. there are a ton of threads about this, so you can look around for help on this. i'll just mention that maybe a mask on the skin with some added monochrome noise might do the trick.

and two, i'd crop the image. all that stuff on the right is of little relevance to the picture. crop it out.

thanks, i was thinking that it was too smooth, i'll have another go at it tonight.
