C&C please

I'd like some general C&C, but I'm also looking for some help with her arm pits, I already got rid of some bumps I didn't like, but I'd like to make them smoother without loosing texture.

BTW this is my first post But don't go easy on my work, as I'd like to learn and not just get an ego boost.

Re: C&C please

Hi Jakob,
Can you post a larger picture. Her arm pits are hard to see.

Re: C&C please

Okay, the pic is really still too small to do anything meaningful with it. Perhaps you should go for a much closer crop so the armpits are more visible.

I often precede any work with the clone tool or healing brush by first dodging and burning. This lessens the amount of work you have to do with the clone tool or healing brush and is, therefore, less destructive. So I dodged away those lines and burned some of the highlights in her armpits to even out the light there and make it appear smoother. Then I opened a new layer and on the new layer with "sample all layers' checked finished off with the healing brush what I didn't do with the dodging and burning.

I also used a bit of liquify to slim down her shoulders and upper arms. Finallly I added some highlights to her arms and face.

Syd

Re: C&C please

I'm not sure about the girl, but I really like the background, it looks like a basket weave. I think it would look cool with one of those grungy people in it instead of this girl. Or if she was sitting with her hands folded in her lap, you might get a nice contrast between pretty and corse.

Re: C&C please

Syd,

Thanks that helped out a lot. I wasn't looking for anyone to actually shop it for me, thats why I didn't put up a bigger image. The dodging and burning to even out first helped a ton.

Thanks for your comments.

Should I post the before? (I just added it to original post)
