After a photo-shoot, the image of the woman that was chosen for the cover of an in-house mag had some "problem areas." The fingers were strangely placed and different in color from the face and chest (1st photo left). I asked the photographer if he could send me an image with better positioned hands to swap out (middle photo). I swapped the hands, matched the skin to the face and chest, and changed the nail color (image far right).
I do this type of composite work a lot. Thought it may be interesting to some to see the before and after. Just sorry I can't show the finished image in full.

How long did it take you to do? and do you charge by the hour or by the job?

Hi CathyH,
The swap w/masking, less than 1/2 hour, off course there is always additional time in calling the photographer, finding the best match of the photos he/she sends, ect and of course matching skin color and giving a digital manicure added time. Freelance, I charge both by the project or by time, whatever works for both parties.
