| | | real critques please, attack attack attack. I guess you can say this is my first post. Good forum for sure, been on it everyday since I've joined. Now its my turn to post some goods. A lot of people on this site do a lot of the same stuff (D&B USM etc.) and I do use those because they work well, but something I've been doing, that I dont hear about too much, maybe I've overlooked it, but alot of this photo is just the brush tool, set at an opacity of 5% and drawing over and over. My biggest thing is the center of the shirt, its blown out far beyond repair. If their's anything you want to do to the photo go straight ahead and show me. Tell me your thoughts thanks. http://img250.imageshack.us/img250/5...531copypw1.jpg
p.s. how do we upload photos without losing so much color to them. its really annoying. |

| | | Re: real critques please, attack attack attack. Just a quickie. Used a Threshold Adjustment layer to create a mask for the highlights in the shirt. Copied this mask and pasted it as a Layer Mask on the original. Filled the original with a color, added noise and blured to create a texture. Now with Hue/Saturation adjustment you can play with the shirt color all you like. |

I like how you've done some light painting though. Very effective. |

| | | Re: real critques please, attack attack attack. photo composition is bothering me. something wrong about shadow on and around his neck. plus white highlights are blown. by the way, get rid of the lightswitch. you image seems to be going for art theme, but i think you should try different lighting. just speaking for a photographer standpoint. |

| | | Re: real critques please, attack attack attack. I think you have your own style working.. Keep up the good work!
BUT...
I guess jadams007 and I think alike..
I made a few changes..
made a 1 image HDR then tonemapped
Laid your orig on top with a black mask
painted your face, arms and legs back in with white
flattened
worked on neck shadow
light switch
darkened corners

Newer versions you need two or more.. however.. you can use the Screen, multiply and original layer settings to get 3 pictures that will work to a certain extent in the newer versions |
