Hello! Opinions and advice needed.

Hello all,

This is the first time I am posting to this site. I have just begun to read through some of the threads and it seems there's a lot of ideas here. I am writing because I would like your opinion on my retouching site.

http://www.nicholevanbeek.com/retouching

I also have some questions that I was hoping you could help with.

1) Is this enough work to be hired? If not, what specific things should I add to the portfolio?

2)Is it necessary to learn InDesign to be hired as a retoucher?

3) If you work as a freelance retoucher off site, do you spend a great deal of time searching for work?

Thanks so much for your help! I realize that's a lot to get to in one thread. Any general advice and tips are welcome as well!

Re: Hello! Opinions and advice needed.

you don't have to know indesign, especially if you're high end but i have come across jobs that wanted a retoucher/keyliner and knowing indesign might make it easier for you to branch out as a production artists which i see more of a demand for than just pure retouchers...
