I think I´ve got it - please critiques Hallo to everybody! I have been lurking for around a couple of months now and i've been fascinated with all the posts and tips here. I have learn so many new techniques and tricks here. So I decided to get some opinions. I’ve been playing around with Photoshop for a little while and so far I work only of pics that are shot by myselfe. But I´m not a good photographer :-) I have spend a lot of time to retouch this picture. It takes about 15 hours I think. I'd be grateful for your thoughts, comments and guidance. And sorry for my very bad english. I´m from germany :-) Dani Before http://s288.photobucket.com/albums/l...ia-orginal.jpg Retouched http://s288.photobucket.com/albums/l...ia-retouch.jpg

Re: I think I´ve got it - please critiques Hi DaniJ, welcome to the forum. I think you've done a fantastic job. Just a couple of things stand out to me: 1) They eyes are a bit too white. This is an easy mistake to make. Try easing them back a little. 2) On her cheek on the left hand side of the photo there's a sharp line of shadow which you didn't remove. I think it detracts from the photo a little.

Re: I think I´ve got it - please critiques Hello Dani I like the color atmosphere and the model is lovely.I especially like the make-up. I noticed the same things as Damo77, and here's what I would add: Your original has nice details as hair and skin texture, I think you could have kept those in the retouched version. The dark shades of the hair are oversaturated and the detail was lost. I noticed a spot on her neck that looks as if it were patched, that area could use some more work. The model has beautiful skin, I think you don't need the extra blur, unless, of course, you prefer it like this. If you are going for the glamour look, I'd suggest reshaping the upper lip to correct the wiggly line.

Re: I think I´ve got it - please critiques thank you all for your advice. I`ll try to fix the things you are listened. I have try to fix the hair, but hair... I hate them. I should have a look bevor making the photo. This will even better fix my problem to retouch the fly aways and plug the holes :-) The sharp line of shadow on the cheek on the left hand side of the photo is not a bug - its a feature. My MakuUp Artist want it. Moniquette: Please explain what you mean by "reshaping the upper lip to correct the wiggly line". I can´t see my mistake. greats, Dani - the german with the bad english
