Artsy retouch

Same model. Differnt photo. Went for something artsy and cartoon barbie-ish. Let me know.

Re: Artsy retouch

The eye color is a bit oversaturated, but the overall results are very convincing.

Re: Artsy retouch

They said the same thing about the eye color on my last retouch. I though that the eye color is one of the things that gives her the barbie type look. Am i wrong, should i lower opacity and let her eyes stay a natural hue?

Re: Artsy retouch

The eyes are too white and the eye color is a bit over done. I like the freckles from the one you did before. Maybe we just don't understand the "look" that you are trying to achieve. Did you see something that inspired this look and if so can you post it?
Maybe then we will get it. LOL

Re: Artsy retouch

I like it.
I would also like to point out some improvements you’ve made since the other post.
You maintained good contrast and detail in the clothing, as well as in the pearls.
Skin tones are consistent, good for the “Barbie” effect, and are no longer shiney or reflective.
The hair stands out well, with good highlights, where as in the before it was lost.
I don’t think the eyes are too white for the effect you are after. You want them to stand out.

A few things to consider.
The t-shirt is beginning to look a bit color cast. We cannot tell if it is white, pink or what ? You may have to mask it in the layer(s) that is effecting it.
The remnants of the brown furniture are somewhat distracting. You could remove it.

Otherwise, great ! Keep it up and keep posting !
Tommy

Re: Artsy retouch

I always like your work, but there is a common mistake that you always somehow do in most of your work, and that is by making the skin color not even -if you get what I mean- there are always some parts on the skin that looks lighter or darker than it should be, making the model's skin look dalmation-ish.
