Re: Is a subforum called critiques...

If you can share your goal with us, that may help us critique it better.
In other words, was it to simply improve complexion - add color, contrast, features for glamour – the beginnings of an artistic rendering ?

My first thoughts are:
- the complexion is beginning to look nice.
- the neck should match the face somewhat, cleaning up blemishes, etc.
- some fly-away hairs in the face should be removed.
- if for glamour, the hair color could be evened out.

Otherwise, great work and keep posting !

I think that the flyaway hairs look nice; the goal: well, just make her look beautyful without look unreal; like a really nice portrait that herself would want to have in her room.

Re: Is a subforum called critiques...

Hi AltIvan for me it looks very good but it’s not fished yet. You did a very good job with complexion (may be using liquefy and some cloning) she look much beautiful. I like the skin texture it looks real for me. But I think it needs a little more work to be done. I’d do some colour correction to the skin, some adjustment in the eyes so they are more brilliance. The lips looks flat for me I’d some D&B to give them some 3D. The fingers look too red and need some softness too. Finally as TommyO said I’d also match the neck with the face.

Here is a quick try, to fix some of the things I said.

Any ways, good job yours looks much better that the original.

The color correction is only on his fingers (or i notice it there); the eyes in your retouch look fake to me; but the 3d lips is a great idea.

Hi AltIvan, I did a little colour correction on overall but it doesn’t need much. The main colour correction I did it was in her hand.
Probably my retouch on her eyes is a little bit over done because I did it in a different monitor that I used to work. It was an old crt , it was not calibrated at all and it didn’t have to much contrast either. Sorry, next time I’ll try to do it in my good one.
