Colourize pls critique

Hi All,

Here I go again, a year down the line I am still trying and practicing with colourizing black and white photos. The attach is my most recent colourization. I hope you guys won't mind give me some critiques good or bad and I'm also curious to know what it looks like from other monitors.

Wow! That is such a great job you've done. Their faces look spot on! Only thing I can notice is that the tie looks a little bit cut off at the top of the knot and that maybe his flower could do with a little extra colour to give it a little more dimension as it looks a little flat. The blonde hair also looks like it is a tad green but it could be the way my monitor is calibrated. Really impressive on the whole though. Well done!

Thank you very much for your kind comments much appreciated. Yes as for the lady's hair, I had a feeling it might be green though I can't see it from my monitor, but I know it's there, it's very difficult colouring blonde hairs or any hairs for that matter, there is a way of doing so, but at the moment my main concentration is to achieve realistic skin tones, which in turn I tend to neglect the rest of the photo, not a very good thing to do, but colouring a black and white photo take some art and I am no artist, the great thing is I can practice with as much photos as I can.

My only criticism is that the man's lips look a little too pink; other than that, it looks perfect.

Well your skin tones are spot on. Really impressed with how you did the netting on her hat. Any chance of letting us in on the secret?
