critique this shot please..

Hello I took a picture with my camera and I wanted to play around with the shadows and highlights, does the shadows on the picture look too "fake"? http://img107.imageshack.us/img107/7084/jjretje9.png

Fake.. no. It just depends on what you are trying to accomplish. So, it's hard to critique. It reminds me of contrasts someone would develop as they attempt to put in a dark background. This way the hair and jacket blend seemlessly with the background.
Can you tell us more about what you wanted from the image ?

Omg I am sorry I forgot to say that I was trying to get the skin like a methallic looking skin but it looked to funny, also I wanted it to get some more deatails as u said (hair, shirt) if someone could give me some ideas I'll appreciate it, thanks for replying!!

Your eyes look too funny as well

And yeah I think the pic looks a bit "fake" to me because of the skin smoothing you did.

Not because it is not well done but because it seems out of place to me in a pic like that.

I actually like it, i know what you mean about the metallic thing. Im still trying to figure out how they do it.
