My First Retouch, please be brutally honest.

This is my first serious attempt at retouching. Photo was taken by a professional photographer Robin Schwartz. I have tried to preserve signs of model's age. I welcome as much criticism as possible, do not hold back.

Hi Elensil, I think you've done a good job on the details, except for those teeth! Didn't it strike you that they are way too bright compared to the exposure of the rest of the photo?

Re: My First Retouch, please be brutally honest.

The major wrinkle area on the face (curved smile lines) are very unevenly retouched. I think they should be close to equal on most people. Otherwise a nice modest retouching job.

I think the original skin color is better, also now she looks flat, and she lost
that feel of "crying eyes"

I think you should also retouch the wrinkles at the lower cheeks... other than that it's okay...

Re: My First Retouch, please be brutally honest.

I have just started messing with this stuff myself. From your post, I would say that it looks like you accomplished what you were going for. The photo has a very natural look and feel to it; the subject still looks mature.
I tend to shoot younger subjects (to this point) and I have been trying to go for a more glamoureous look.
This site has a great tutorial on the glamour makeup tech. It is called the "soft Dior look."
