First post Bmx

This is a bmx shot, I'm guessing it would be alright to post here. Pretty big change for a before and after.

Before with some contrast ajustment

After

The sky could of been added in a little better, I used the extract tool. I saw a tutorial on here that looked like it works a lot better along tree lines that I will have to try out. Any input would be great.

Hello Corey
I also like urban sports. I think your bmx-er is a bit too small in the frame, so I've cropped a bit and put my take on it. Hope you don't mind.

Re: First post Bmx

I would have liked to see the shot set up a little differently.... like what Photodivauk eluded to. Center the biker more, bring attention to him, not the background. My eyes are drawn immediately to the background.

Re: First post Bmx

Based on your retouch as an indication of what you were trying to do, I would suggest:

1. Darken and saturate the fence and plants to give a clear plane i.e. sky band, cityscape band, fence band.

2. Increase the contrast on the concrete to make it look more rough.

3. Saturate the reds in the ramp and brick wall a bit and also increase contrast a bit to provide balance to the image.
