Re: Beauty Retouch It is much better if you do not link to images on other servers, since those links can break and that makes the forum thread essentially useless for future readers. After you post your less than 100K version, you could link to a site that is hosting a larger version. All that work and you left the Green hair?

Re: Beauty Retouch Not to be rude about what others have posted here, but their comments are not constructive, nor do they have anything to do with the critique that you have requested. I'm going to try and change that by offering something constructive. I think you have done a very good job here. The before picture was way too dark, and you did a great job lightening it up. Be careful though that you don't over expose certain areas and certain elements of the picture, for example, the whites in her eyes are almost TOO white... and her cheek may be on the verge of being over exposed. Everything else is very good though. I agree that the green hair looks a little awkward, but since that area was black in the original, there really isn't much that can easily be done. You may be able to leave that area dark, rather then lighten it up. I like how you cut out that piece of hair that seemed to flutter in the middle of nowhere. I think that you could have done a little bit more with that by a) eliminating some of the other small strands poking out in places, and b) adjusting the lines at the point that you cut it, so it doesn't look like a chunk of her hair is missing. The lines need to fool us into thinking that it is the natural flow of her hair. Lastly, the skin look great!!! I might have left a few freckles on her face since that helps to define HER character. All in all, a very nice job! I hope this CONSTRUCTIVE criticism helps!

Re: Beauty Retouch You did a good job with cleaning up the skin and lightening the overall tone. But I guess you applied some kind of blur and didn't mask out the hair. That looks very distracting. Just my 2 cents. ROY.

Re: Beauty Retouch I just played with the "green hair", nothing else. It's quite easy to fix. Added a new layer above the background. set the blending mode to color and filled with a color sampled from a darker part of her red hair. Added a "hide all" layer mask to this layer and painted on the mask with a white brush over the green and black hair. I added a 50% gray layer above this to lighten and darken specific areas.

Re: Beauty Retouch Was the change in colour of her string vest and undershirt from black to (partially) red deliberate?
