I don't want to be insensitive, but you asked for honesty, so here it goes... I think she looks lovely and flawless... Too much! There's something wrong with her index fingernail... It doesn't follow the natural line of her nail. I would crop photo on the left side and above to get rid of the flyaway hair (it's the first thing I see).

You have little to no sense about where to go, how far to go, what to do, what not to do and your technique is great - for 23 years ago and an airbrush gun. Why can't you see that after many many submittals for critique you keep doing the same thing? (I looked at your other images that you posted in the past and you aren't improving or listening). Why bother then?

I have no comment on the way you smoothed the skin. It is not totally plastic, so it is largely a matter of taste and intended use.

However, you should spend more time on the small details.

Even if you are happy with the general fly away look of her hair, there are a few strands that run against the grain and look out of place like the one roughly above her right eye and going straight up and the ones to the top left that form several loops.

The hairs on her arms are strongly lit and are not very attractive.

The skin on the tip of the finger to her left looks dry and wrinkled. You could try smoothing that out a little. Also the fingernail seems to have caught a pink or magenta tint and looks discoloured.

There is a dark smudge in the skin above her right eyebrow.

There is a freckle/spot on her right ear that does not look good.

There is a spike of light in the background that sticks out of the top of her head like an antenna.

Actually many of my last photos got great reviews, so maybe im going backwards. lol i just turned 18, give me some slack. So if its that emotionally painful for you, then please, stop clicking, because i need a critique, not someone bitching.

And if you have seen them, why didnt you comment?

Hi Insensitive,
I agree with Verywierd. it's the small things that you have to look for, and the small things i'm looking at are her pupils, their not round!!. To me they don't look natural compared to her irises.
Other than the minor details that have been mentioned, I think you have done a good job for somebody so inexperienced. I'll bet that the young lady in the photo would have been very happy with your effort.

Barry.

Re: Latest portrait beauty retouch. Be HONEST!

Thanks so much very weird and bazza. Ok this is what i think im going to do.

-Her skin is looking abit too much, so im going to take back the opacity of the skin retouched layer down to about 80.
-Round out the full pupils
And do all of this that very weird mentioned lol:

"The hairs on her arms are strongly lit and are not very attractive.
