I don't think Amy uses blur!
You should try dodge&burn if you want to achieve something like she does.

I think Amy uses paint brush to contour her images and also uses local contrast. These images are more whimsical than Amy's. But good try!

also, would you say these pics remind you of AD? cuz as i said earlier, im not going for a AD replica.. BUT theyre definitely AD influenced..

Local contrast is a process made by increasing the threshold in unsharp mask.
I meant very artsy (more illustration-like).
