Blackeyed Susan and Green Lynx Spider.....

This is a photo that I took back in 2004 when I was first experimenting with my new Fuji S7000 and macro shots. In the second one I sharpened it a bit more. Does that look any better?

Thanks, Pam

I'd only sharpen the flower itself, not the grass behind it. It just gives more noise there, doesn't really add something, IMHO.

I agree; only sharpen the foreground elements. Also, the flower and the background almost blend into each other; I would probably darken the background just a LITTLE bit so that the flower and spider stand out a little more. I think this should be especially considered in the top left hand corner of the picture; the yellow of the flower matches the yellow in the grass. Great composition by the way!
