First real D&B retouch

I just finished (ok, I gave up altering more ;-)) my first D&B retouch.

Critiques are welcome!

It looks good but I would do something about her neck as it looks terrible in comparison to her face!

Re: First real D&B retouch

Jee, I've been focussing so much on her face that I did not even notice!

Anything else that should (not could, don't even wanna go there ) be fixed?

An easy one :-)

Since you have eliminated the tungsten rimlight on the left side of her face, you should also get rid of the matching highlight in the left corner of her left eye.

I'd be very surprised to find out there's no blurring in there - looks "smoky"

I don't believe she blurred. She did a fine job. In my opinion the face could use more contrast and it is a bit pink. That's all.

Re: First real D&B retouch

Great work Anneke!! The skin looks great to me (but I like what blaskica did to the colors and contrast. Now it really pops!) My only comment is that you may concider working some on her lips. The bottom lip looks a bit flat. D&B the edges and the mid part a tad bit to make it more roundish.

I didn't say in previous post that the image is suggests warm and while you guys "fixing color by numbers, or levels or..." why it become on cool (cold) side? You not enhance the image you just changing it...

Re: First real D&B retouch

Questions: were did you get the picture from and which technique did you used for the D&B, the one which involves curve or just 50% grey on a soft light layer?

Re: First real D&B retouch

Aha, the pic (did mention it in the topic where I asked for advice, forgot to do it here): that's the lipstickfetish collection.

D&B was done by the two curves layers, both for fine retouching and highlights.
