Critque on forst post please.

Evening people,

Ok - attached are a series of hand coloured images from a bw original, which was about 50mm x 75mm. Scanned in at 1200dpi, 24bit, rgb.

Bit of retouching and image improvement then hand coloured as per the attached images. 081128_JM_02 shows simple hand colouring and 081128_JM_03 shows a water colour effect ( thank you Swampy ).

Hand colouring was based on selections and colour blending layers, apart from the section around the fringe top right, on which I used a fine bruish to fill in the skin tone.

Clients brief was to retouch and hand colour using her colour specs.

So - a critque please - which hand coloured image do you prefer, and why?

How could I improve the 'paint strokes' on _03?

Brief technical note - wacom tablet & PS cs2. I've read & agree with the forum guide lines. As an aside, this is my first post to a great site.

Thanks.

Regards,

Chriscb.

Thanks Stopa - I am very pleased with the result.

Aleksman71 - Had a look at the smudge tech - the 'look' is quite different. Takes alot of skill. Thank you.

Chriscb.
