Re: Elephants on safari

I'm just nog sure what it is? "Just" a photo, or some retouching involved? Or comp? With that litte info, it's hard to say anything about it.

Re: Elephants on safari

I didnt say anything so i could get un-biassed impressions of it but oh well :-)

Its a comp made using models of elephants, photos of sky and using scanning to capture grass, no stock photos or anything like that.

So it is compleatly artificial.

Re: Elephants on safari

Heya!,

My covert, stealthy, moniker for you is now forever "oh lover of syrup and butter". I love them but the damn things won't stay hot.

Anyways.
At first I started to judge the image on int's on merits with the assumption that it was truly what it appears to be.
A covey of elephants covorting across the grasslands and is truly a nicely composed image and it does grab my eye although I long for a bit more sweetlight. Before hitting the send button I read your last comment stating that it was actually a set with models and such and too me that makes the image all that much better. Your scaling was superb and an excellent execution of the job. But now I really wish you would have given us some sweetlight but overall a well tuned, nicely accomplished image. If I were you I would put it in my trunk for safekeeping. "Trunk" get it. I don't care what you or any of my friends say, that's funny damit.
Good to see all of you again.

Good work. To tell you the truth, the first time I saw this thread I had absolutely no idea that it's fake. It's very convincing.
