Hello all, so glad I found this forum, this is exactly the stuff I was looking for. So much good information and help, sort of hard to decide where to start. My name is Tim, and im trying to learn how to restore old photos with Adobe Photoshop cs v8

This is my first attempt of an old photo . It has lots of sepia tone on it, but mainly a blur across the middle.

This is my finished repair

The biggest challenge was with the face of the boy in the middle. It still doesn't look quite right, but most of it I had to rebuild. I used the clone and magic eraser mainly.

Try to dodge and burn to even out his face. Just do it on a new layer just in case you mess up.

The rest looks good to me,

igot2pman, thanks Im still learning how to use Photoshop, never used the dodge and burn. I like how they smooth the shades out, good tip.
