Smile Aha!... i think this one is better

Ditched my first studio high-key attempt as the expression on the model was erm! not that wonderful so found one where she is smiling, extended the canvas and added a graduated blue filter to the white bg - Gary

Your studio lighting is great! I say take out a few of the tiny lines round her eyes and she may kiss you. She'll love it. :-)

Great capture, I agree with the eyes, but dont remove, just lighten.

You might also want to remove the yellow from her back teeth.

Blue BG brings out her eye's,

Smile Graduated filters

I use Nik filters and on this one the graduated blue filter which you can blend to any degree then i simply paint back the original colour in the subject with the history brush....
If you don't have Nik filters i guess you can do the same with the gradient tool in CS3 or whatever PS you have.
Two recent examples below, one with the deep blue filter which makes for a really convincing sky and the mantis with a coffee filter, pardon the pun lol
Another is at:

First image on the left, "hats" again blue for the sky.... hope this helps

Re: Aha!... i think this one is better

Hi, I am using Nik filters as well, but can't seem to achieve the same effect. I will keep trying. Thanks for the reply. The 2 attached photos are beautiful.
