Make sure you use a hard brush when using the healing brush. A soft brush will easily make surrounding areas "leak" into where you are brushing (unless you stay REALLY far away from edges).

Also, it sometimes behaves a bit odd if the layer you are healing on is partially transparent (e.g. due to using a soft clone stamp brush) - this might make the healing brush create a weird edge. To solve this just make a new layer before healing.
